Holding a blade to your beloved's throat

Isn't it funny? It looks like that the surest way to woo a man is to take a sword and to prick his throat with it...

Arwen is doing that to Aragorn.
Eowyn is doing that to Aragorn.

Aragorn seems pleased and impressed.

I will not be surprised it there is a rejected scene with Eowyn wooing Furamir thusly .

I wonder, perhaps Eowyn tried the same trick with the Witch-King, only missed a little?

Don't forget Frodo in Osgiliath, with Sam...

Cool! I think the Arwen and Eowyn holding swords to Aragorn is very suggestive. I think that idea is a good one. It does look a bit suggestive, doesn't it? A bit flirty too.

If you speak seroiusly, no! I can't agree.
I think it was a BAD idea. Imagine how real Aragorn might feel when a woman pricks his neck with a sword. To a warroir it means defeat, capture and death, just at subconscious level. Moreover, Aragorn's warrior training, ALL his instincts would make him react before any notions of courtesy etc. would resurface. That was just not feasible!

I can see where you're coming from as it woudl be a damage to Aragorn's pride as it would show weakness but I still think it's suggestive but that's my opinion.

It is a bit suggestive, but it wasn't a good idea IMO to assume that Aragorn was so kinky.

Gollum

I think its bulls--t. In real life, no one - no man, no woman, no elf or whatever, would find it cute, flirty, sexy, or in any way a positive thing to be brought to a swordpoint. Have you ever been stabbed? Do you know what it feels like? Like Crazy Squirrel says, what do you think Aragorn's TRUE instinctive warrior reaction would have been? You think he'd feel all warm and fuzzy about some chick who made HIM feel weak and defeated?!?
I mean, REAL LIFE! Please, this isn't real life, it's the movies were talking about here.
