It's snowing!
It's been snowing for the past few days here in Utah. Cold and wet! Just last week the leaves were blowing about, and the old folks were saying "It'll be a hard winter!" Well, it looks like it will be, with at least 6" of snow on the ground already. It looks lovely, but I like being warm! I'll stay inside and read and eat nice warm things, and occasionally look out and shiver vicariously for the people who are out in it!

Re: It's snowing!
We got a little snow here in Massachusetts a few weeks back, in late October. But it hasn't snowed since and its actually been a little warm. Strange weather.

Re: It's snowing!
We just got about 6 inches of snow and it is awsome. I hope we get like 3 more feet cuz then I can go snowboarding. For now I will have to settle for snowsk8ing. Peace.

Re: It's snowing!
Yes, as GAR said, no snow in Massachusetts, but plenty of rain. Today has mostly been cloudly, grey, and drizzly. Rather gloomy altogether. Frankly, I can't wait for snow.... I love skiing (even though it's much better in the west, like Colorado and Utah, than here), and we haven't had a good snowfall around here for a few years.

Re: It's snowing!
The cold front came in a week or two ago here in Calgary. It's been pretty damn cold around here. I'm wearing an extra fleece jacket right now and I'm indoors.

I wish it'd snow more in Toronto; I wish I lived in Ottawa, actually; it's colder there and it's not as big and dirty a city (those are things that I like).
All we usually get in Toronto is slush which then turns into muddy ice. That's the kind of weather I hate... It's not cold enough, nor is it hot enough; it's an unpleasant mixture of both. If you drive out a bit, though, the snow is much deeper and there many places for nice cross-country skiing (my favorite sport, or at least in winter; in summer it's tennis). Who else likes cross-country skiing here? |

I hate snow.
Not for itself, but from what it did indirectly to me and my team.

Re: too cold!
Now why can't some of that snow come over here so we won't have anymore of this grey, dull weather?

Re: too cold!
Well I for one have never seen snow in my life unless you count photographs and films. Don't guess that counts huh?
There's nothing like hearing from people north of me to put things in perspective. (I'm in Florida, it's 68 degrees and people have started busting out the leather jackets). Some day I am gonna take a trip and see snow!! |

Well, I don't envy people in Florida right now, but it would be nice to be warm! I can't stand being out in the icky wet cold.

Re: too cold!
I love snow! I'm from northern Alberta, Canada. Really nice and
cold. We think Toronto is warm... It's pretty normal for us to have -40 C in the winter. I pity you silly Americans who hardly ever see snow <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile. gif ALT=""> |
