Who's your favourite hobbit?
We've had 'Who's your favourite character' and 'Who's your favourite Bad-Guy' so I thought it was about time we had a 'Who's your favourite hobbit' thread as seen as with out hobbits the quest would never have succeded.
Frodo bore the Ring to Mount Doom. Sam bore the Ring when the quest seemed to be at an end. Merry helped slay the Witch-King Pippin looked into th palantir and because of that Gandalf warned Gondor that war had arrive Fatty Bolger warned Buckland of attack. My favourite has to be Sam. His courage to take on the quest even when his beloved Mister Frodo had apparantly died because of it. Followed by a close second of Pippin 'FoolofaTook' Took.

Oh the best hobbit is Merry. His spirt and his drive and his romantic notions of what they are fighting for are so cool. I mean he is just a cool character!

One of my favorite hobits(I wont say most favorite because they are all great) was Gaffer Gamgee. He always had some quote about everything. He seemed quite wise for a little hobbit of the Shire. Yet I wonder, if Bilbo had to take the ring in Frodos place would Gaffer have followed him to the end as Sam did!?

I dont think so. Didnt the Gaffer think he was crazy or something to that extent. But that would have been funny if that had happened.

Didn't think he was crazy, Gaffer was Bilbo's gardener as am was Frodo's. Gaffer was friends with Bilbo yet still everyone knew he was cracked, if ya get my meaning, as the ol'Gaffer use to say... heh

The Gaffer is a great character but I still have tog o with MErry. Sam is my close second. HE was so brave. He stayed with Frodo till the end and he would have died for Frodo.

Pippin is definately a close second for me. I never liked Frodo that much. Its probably cuz I didnt like his parts in TTT and ROTK. I always thought that they were kind of boring. But I can understand how people would like him.

My favourite is probably Pippin because he looks so cool in his Minas Tirith armour(in the film) when he is running around Minas Tirith during the siege(hope i spelt it right).

Hey strids, can I call ya strids? just an honest tip. I dont mind but some people do. This is the book section and a post referring to the movie usually belongs in the movie section. Unless you are showing a parallel. Just a tip for future notice. (PS I really didnt like his armor. :P )
My favorite character in LOTR is Gothmog. I mean that guy was cool. I dunno. THere wasnt much description of him but he alwasy struck me as being kick-arse. (didnt want to say ass. Wooops!)
