Middle Earth Online
Has anybody else been following the progress of this game? I'd imagine at least a few of us mooters would be watching the developement of this game very intently.
But for those of you who don't know, Middle Earth Online is going to be a MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing game ---think Everquest---) based on our beloved Middle Earth. Eventually we will be able to fully explore the entire world of Middle Earth and come into contact with everything imaginable within Tolkien's fantasy. I've seen some screenshots for various locations and they look spectacular. The actual production of the game was licenced by the book publishers, so the storyline is parallel to the book, NOT the movies. I think if done right this will prove to be a very in-depth game, which it rightly should be. This site has a lot of really good screenshots for the game. http://meo.ogaming.com/ I'll try to find other sites worthwhile and update later on today when I get the chance. I'm actually surprised that there isn't any true thread about this yet, but there is definately a tons to discuss/speculate upon in regards to different areas of the game.

Bah humbug. You gotta start worrying when they classify a hobbit as a ROUGE. What? They supposed to be red or something?

I've been checking that out. I can't wait! I'm going to go see Dale, and Erebor, and the Iron Hills, and Buckland!
My plan: stage a one-Dwarf assualt to retake Khazad-Dum! After I've explored everywhere else, of course. DIE EVIL ORCSES!

It looks like it has some potential but we really can't make much assumptions about the game since so little information is open to the public.

But rest assured I will smoke pipe-weed and then wander off somewhere only to be killed by the Witchking.
