What's your wallpaper?
My husband put a new wallpaper on our computer this morning. It's Norma Desmond coming down the staircase for her "closeup" in Sunset boulevard. It is so cool, the play of light and dark (in black and white) is perfectly balanced and beautiful, and she is soooo creepy! What's on your wallpaper?
WOW I put it on here all by myself! Now you can see! http://www.2112systems.com/~noir/fti...t/sunset03.jpg

this is a bit pointless...but interesting. anyway, I change mine all the time. Right now it is the cover of the Pink Floyd album "A Collection of Great Dance Songs". That isn't because I like that particular CD but because I like the cover. My dad used to have a poster of it. Earlier today I had a picture by Picasso called "Picador".

My wallpaper is the painting "Girl with a Turban" by Vermeer (lived in 1600s). I am at school doing a replica of this painting, which is really fun!

I like Heronymous Bosch as my wallpaper at the mo', tho' that will probably change is a week or so
http://www.abcgallery.com/B/bosch/bosch.html Lot's too see in his paintings and I chose them because I'm convinced my computer is controlled by the machinations of hell and looks like this on the inside anyway (the bedamned thing only does what it chooses to do) |

After having a picture of my baby nephew for almost a year now, i just recently changed it to a seasonal one: a lit jack-o-lantern arranged on a table with some Indian corn (or at least that's what we called it when I was little).

Oh, you mean native american corn, huh! Had the same one for a year! I can relate . My answering machine died this weekend. The message on it was ten years old from my other house before we moved. I hate to make a new one. I want everything to stay the same! But changing computer wallpaper is fun, there is almost an infinite amount of cool stuff! The shire picture is lovely! The Vermeer painting is wonderful! Maybe I'll paint her too.

My wallpaper's boring; it's just clouds. I think I'm going to change it into something seasonal sooer or later, though. Any really good ideas that my mom won't have a problem with?
The picture of the Shire is nice, but Mom's not a tolkienite. *sigh*

On my home computer I have a picture I took of the Cape May lighthouse in southern New Jersey.
On my work computer - it will surprise people - because I have that scene with the black riders crossing the Ford. I hate that scene in the movie yet I have it as my wallpaper. At least it doesn't show Arwen "casting" her stupid spell.

For the moment Willie is having this wallpaper, a drawing of the lake of Cuiviénen and Dave has this one, a cartoon about the piramid shafts.

On my station in the office, I have a picture of Smeagol and Deagol riding on a boat. I think it's a flashback since it's supposed to be a TTT spoiler picture.
At home, I have a colored map of Middle-Earth which, from time to time, I replace with that of the lands of Beleriand.

I like my wallpaper. It's supposed to be Legolas, I don't think it looks like him, it's too human, but he's still a very cool archer.

Hmmmm, nice picture! Great color and movement, but I agree, it doesn't look like Legolas!
