Experiment: Typical Tolkien Fan
Hey, I already have this thread in the General Discussion forum, and it may not be suitable for this forum, but I am conducting an experiment to see if Tolkien fans tend to have certain personality traits, and I figured some of you may not visit the General Discussion forum, but yeah. If you have already submitted your results in my other thread in the other forum, please do not re-post them on this thread.
Please take this test: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp There are 4 main personality types, Artisan, Rational, Guardian, and Idealist, and then there are 4 more specific types for each of the main categories. Post your 4-initial personality type here. I'm trying to see if there is a more typical personality type that likes Tolkien. I will start by saying I am an INTP Oh and when you're done, go here to read more about your personality type. PS- the results are not entirely accurate, and will probably vary depending on the mood your in, but this is an "approximate" sort of expiriment, measuring tendencies.

Strider sitting in the corner at the inn was a shock, and I had no more idea who he was than had Frodo. The Mines of Moria had been a mere name; and of Lothlórien no word had reached my mortal ears till I came there. Far away I knew there were the Horse-lords on the confines of an ancient Kingdom of Men, but Fangorn Forest was an unforeseen adventure." ~ J. R. R. Tolkien |

I'm an ENFP...yay! First extroverted one here!
I looked more into the ENFP (Champion) and amazingly it fits me fairly well, especially the part about relationships. I used to be pretty prone to preaching at people, but I've curbed that a bit.

ENTJ... okey, dokey.
I'd like to add that these tests rely on how a person feels that day, and is influenced by events that occur recently in the test taker's life. The only real way to know for sure what personality that person has is to make them take the test at different times of the day, over a period of time then find out which results occur the most often. That would be their true personality type. Just trying to help. |

I've done this before for psychology class. I am INTP.
Funny too because I planned on becoming an architect even before I took this test.
