Mooter's Patronuses
I was wondering what you guys think your patronus would look like as well as those of your fellow mooters.
I think mine would be a fox. Scheming but not too low as to slither on me belly.

Mine would probably be a cat. I like to have fun and be funny...but sometimes I just want to be alone, so I bite.

You'd have to remember that what your Patronus is doesn't only depend on your personality- there are other factors. Look at Harry- Prongs- his father as an Animagus.
But I suppose you could do some solely based on personality. I'd like a bird of prey, or a large cat such as a panther. This thread reminds me of the Daemons thread- based on Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy. |

I was reminded of that too, Lin.
I would hope my patronus would be a dog, since they're my favourite animal.

If it was reflecting my personality, it would be something rascally and naughty, like maybe a possum dancing on a tin roof, or a racoon stealing someones food. If it was influenced by my life, then it would be something a bit more insideous, like the python that Harry talks to in the zoo.
Lin, you SO don't remind me of a bird of prey. If I were to place you as an animal, I'd say you were a labrador. No, maybe a german shepherd, cos I used to know one that used to hide from me, and jump out when I was least expecting it... Damned thing. |

I don't hide from you, nor do I jump out at you. Do I seem to jump out at you? *shrug* Why am I a labrador? Do I seem like a follower type person? |

Dumb Kiwi for thinking I could. Ok, fine. If that's the price I have to pay for my Conspiracies, so be it. Just so long as I'm not like that rabid dog in To Kill a Mockingbird. Sheeana, I think your Patronus would be a bear or something. Or a bug. Well, let's just think of violent creatures, and you're on the right track. (jk) |

Hmmm...
I've had the nickname Squirrel since, well, I was little. And I guess I act a lot like a Squirrel (possessive, unsettled, aloof...) so I would say a squirrel. This reminds me of the ancient days of Ferret and Squirrel. And to people who have read the books: no, I'm not talking about that ferret. The ferret I'm talking about was an old friend named Jena. |

I'd want my Patronus to be something like a platypus. Or an echidna. Well, I am Australian. No koalas tho. They look cuddly, and then they've got these HUGE SCARY EVIL CLAWS! And not a possum, because one of them bit me once and I've still got an infection from it, three years on. Evil little b*st*rd it was.

Mine would be a Lion - for some obvious & not-so-obvious reasons. I can be very laid back & relaxed, playful etc etc etc & I don't get angry very quickly / will let things slide when I'm offended or mad - but f**k with my family & I'll kill you.

Yeah, a lion suits you very well, K.
Though this thread reminds me of the Daemons thread, it's a bit different. Some of these animals you could have as Daemons (If I remember correctly- creatures that are sort of a 'part' of you), but you've got to wonder what use something like a possum or echidna could have when Dementors are around. They're not very big, are they? |

For patronuses: the size doesn't matter. After all, they're not solid. It's their strength that matters, and that depends entirely on you.

I would want to have a horse patronus (beautiful, elegant and my favourite animal since I was 2), but I would probably end up having a spider or something.
