Which do you think of?
When someone talks of love, what kind of relationship is it that you think of first?
Friendship? Family? Romance? What? For me, I generally think of friendship, although it does mostly depend on the context.

Romance. It is the one most commonly tied with that word overall.

it depends on the context as was mentioned. but i tend to think of a vague general idea of love, mostly like family and friends. more of a caring for people than a romantic love. love is good.

When I hear the word "love" I tend to think of my friends, but it also depends on the context.

My positive associations with love died long ago....

Usually when I talk about love with my friends, we discuss romantic love. Not necessarily between each other, just in general, and how crazy and ridiculous it is (I often reminisce with a male friend of mine, how we both liked each other, but at different times).

Romantic love. Love and friendship have always been to distinctly different things to my mind.

Friendship. I use the word love pretty loosely as a term of endearment..........it only has deeper meaning if sandwiched between "I" and "you".

When I think of love, I think of a nice, quiet evening in bed reading a good book. Or sometimes a sunny afternoon outside playing with my friends. And sometimes a relaxing afternoon on the 'Moot with a can of Coke. And I also think of my lovely little hamster, Ginger! Nothing can please me more than watching, holding, or playing with her!
Or family. Nobody can love you more than your parents. But then again, I'm only 11 years old, and I don't understand love the way others do.

What a surprise to see this brought back up again, Durin's bane!
Ah, but I think you do understand love. Just not romance. Don't worry, romance is a waste of time. Hamsters are wonderful, are they not?

Oh yes! Hamsters are my favourite animals! I love my little Ginger, but it annoys me when I have to pick up her turds with my bare hands! Yuck!
I understand love a little bit. Just not romance, like you said. I mean, what's it all about anyway? I have yet to find it's use.

When I hear about love, I instantly think of my dog. But, as everyone else has already stated, it really depends on context.
