Reminiscing about the good ol' Mooting days...
Hey, I'm starting this thread because of a suggestion Elf Girl made in the Entmoot Pink and Purple Day thread. This is a thread where Mooters who've been here for a year or more come to reminisce about the good old Mooting days and pranks and threads and Mooters and RPGs, etc, that have died out or gone away since.
Hey, April Fool's Day is coming up. Wonder what prank they'll pull this year? I miss Strawberry Ice Cream. She was cool...haven't seen her around in ages, or am I just looking in the wrong places?

I miss Strawberry Ice Cream too. She was funny. Who DID she live with? I don't see Arathorn's dancing shoe as much as I'd like! I really miss the old "Three Worders". They were my favorites. I miss Eruvial Greenleaf being "a Mootaholic"! Entmoot seems a bit "kinder and gentler" and that is good! (IMO) .....Of course, I miss Anduril!

Yeah...I wonder why our Bard of Mangled Songs has been away from the Moot so much...he used to live here 24/7, practically! Well, at least 22/7...

Ah, reminiscing about the old days, eh?
I don't suppose any of you were around for the wedding party. I feel old.

Ah back in the day. I used to never post in gen msgs, I used to live at home, and I used have a clean room.
Wow, a lot has happened over the past year. I've seen a lot of people go. But I guess I haven't really been that long compared to grizzled old 'Moot vetrans.

I've been here less than a year! And I'm reminiscing! So there! (Time for Hobbit to come out and tell us we're all newbies.) The point is.....missing another time, another place. Missing people who used to post! Where's that naughty Tar Elendil?
Where's the Timeline?

I miss last year's Entmoot Oscars party. Some people were posting on commercial breaks, and some people were just hitting refresh on the Oscar's homepage every three seconds. we racked up 15 pages or more in the space of a few hours, and were so disappointed at the end with LotR's winnings, that a mad nominating of 'mooters ensued
gosh, that makes me miss Pailan and Gerbil. Where are you guys? Umm...who else was a part of that...*goes back and browses through the thread*...Arathorn, JD, bropous, emplynx, Starr Polish, galadriel88, Cirdan, ...there were a lot of us *sigh*.

I think Strawberryicecream moved over to emplynx's messageboard, same as aldesign.
I wish EG and EXK would post more. *sigh indeed* I also miss Garina.

*sigh* I miss the heady old days of a year ago. Did I change or was it the 'Moot. Maybe we just grew apart. Our time together passed or... *drifts off into senile nostaglic babbling* I miss Blackheart, and Tanoniel and I went separate ways, Darth Tater and his ascerbic wit, pink and purple day, of course, the Theist/Anti-theist marathon (never have I participated in such a debate that didn't degenerate), Afro-Elf's great threads, the pirateship/wine/chocolate/flying sheep/pants episode,.. *mumbles*

Alas! The 'Moot is fading, and soon shall we pass into the West; the Age of Man is come.

"Those Entmoot days we used to know...where have they gone? Where diiiiiiiiiid they go? *Something in French* we'll raise our berets to those Entmoot days!" *If you've heard "Canaan Days" from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat, that top part actually and remarkably makes sense! *
Yeah. The good old days. That was awhile ago. The anything thread was less than 50 pages back then! Not much happened between September,2001 (when I came) and December (when a whole bunch more people came!) I do remember thinking about the movie, and making all these far-fetched predictions that never came close to being true! Actually, I didn't even know about the movie when I came. The moot was enlightening in that sense!!
