queen and squeeze
i thought that QUEEN the best band in the world, deserved their own thread.
whats your favorite song/album or thing about the band? i love killer queen and the show must go on best of all. i think that their greatest hits album I and II are the best coz they have all my favorite songs on. freddie mercury dying of AIDS is one of the saddest things happening ever in my mind. he was in the prime of life, and i feel very strongly on the matter. i did feel the need though, somewhere to state my love for squeeze. anyone else heard of them? they are also one of the best bands in the world.

You're My Best Friend was the song my husband and I did our first dance to at our wedding reception.

I love it when people bump old threads; I can never find good ones by myself-
Nerdanel, that concert sounded really fun - I'm curious about the Eminem song you mentioned, I'm a huge, huge Eminem fan and just wondering, do you remember what song it was, and why it preceeded the Queen show?

Killer Queen
Somebody to Love Under Pressure Bohemian Rhapsody These are my faves, but I listen to most of their hits from 2 compilation CDs. Freddy had the best voice for rock vocals. Very unique and what a range. He really was the band.

your right elvet, freddie did have the best voice for rock. im not sure he was completly the band though! bryan may is excellent, without him queen wouldn't have happened. him and freddie wrote most of the music. im listening to 'im going slightly mad' it's not the best one they have done, but it's pretty cool. radio ga ga is good as well.

we had this male window cleaner in our school and naturally we all ran to watch him(trying to be secretive but not succeeding in anyway)ANYWAY! he looked like freddie mercury completely, so i ran around school shouting 'freddie lives' i think he heard me, and i was distraught to find he had left at the end of the day (hmm, i wonder why?!!)

Apparently for the Queen's jubilee, Brian May is going to stand on top of Buckingham Palace and play God Save The Queen on his guitar!
Weird! (but quite cool )
