What do you think of Eminem?
I find him funny in a low brow manner. The same low brow humor that South Park exhibits.
I think people take what he says too seriously. Your opinions.

I like him.
I dont like some of the things he says to look hard for hid image but i think he songs are very very thought provoking and that is sometimes a good thing. I only listen to them on mtv but i do have to say i like all the new ones like clearing out my closet or something. I thought stan was VERY good as well cos it basically said 'dont take everything i say seriously', and i think in modern society peoiple do need to be told that!

I love his new album better than the rest of his stuff (I still like the old songs, though). "Hailies Song" is my fave right now. It's actually a sweet one lyrically by Eminem - catch it while you can before it mysteriously vanishes.

Don't like him.
I like South Park alot more. At least South Park is cute, in its own strange way. I find him annoying...in a whiny sort of way. How do I explain it...?My natural reaction to his supposed clever lyrics is something along the lines of "how childish!". Not my thing, I guess. |

Many of his lyric are not childish at all. Was there anything childish about Stan? i like his new song there are some good lines in that.
I think some people can take him too seriously though he does have a worring complex about his mother.

I do not like his music, if you could call it that. I personally don't listen to rap anyway, but I can't get away from his songs. They're everywhere. More later, have to go...

Uhm, when I was a teenager I placed a lot of weight upon my favorite bands (lyrics). If I need to look into an issue, gets some "deep thought" on an angle, or dig through some conundrums; music is fine for the mood or atmosphere but mentors, well thought-out literature, or even a fine posting board like Entmoot is a better resource. People look for inspiration from music, they always have. But to look deep into someone who couldn't pass an English exam, had much experience other than their own little peculiar rap world, and seems eternally caught in a teenage angst of anger-mismanagement and blame........ Like I said, for me there was a time I listed very well to certain artist…Sting’s Blue Turtle album during the Cold War was poignant. Blue Monday, ect……. So I can’t judge, just because I’ve moved on. Sheesh, I didn’t mean to write this much…. Rawk on StrawberryIcecream, it would be boring if we liked and disliked the same stuff, eh.

Stan:
whine whine whine whine (intersperse some clips of Dido singing. phew! at least her voice isn't whiny.) whine whine whine whine ~oh and by the way I'm a deranged girlfriend killer, but I'm going to whine about that too~ whine whine whine whine (Eminem - Ooooh. Aren't I clever? I've managed to use some more shock tactics! Haha! I've got your attention now! - as he laughs all the way to the bank.) - Let's just say I'm not buying any of his albums any time soon. I find him somewhat tiresome. I'll leave it to other people to buy his stuff and save my money for other things. My musical tastes are somewhat strange by most people's standards anyways. It's very rare that I will stop and say "hey! that's a really clever lyric!" and so far Eminem has not remotely approached that. Which is fair enough. He is obviously going for a different audience, but that was clear from the first single of his I ever heard. Nothing I have heard since contradicts that. He's obviously found what works for him, which i suppose is a good thing. |

eminem is the man, im not a really huge fan of his music and dont listen to it on a regular bases but some of it is decent, but i think that anyone that can manipulate people and make as much money as he can off it rules.

Mostly I like his music for the beats, rhythm, and humor. He's all about controversy, and I kinda am myself.
If you want a very toned down and humorous Eminem song, try "Bad Guys Always Die". |
