My favourite character keeps changing quite often.....It started with Dumbledore then Sirius, back to Dumbledore and McGonagall and right now it is Snape.
Mainly because I find that despite his mean-ness towards the Gryffindors and hatred towards the stars of the story, he finally does what is good for the light. He may be biased but his sense of right and wrong - though developed only at a late stage - is now well established.

I like Snape too... Funny, everyone hates him but we all like him. I like him for a lot of reasons. One is the thing Ireth mentioned. Another reason is that he's pretty much the opposite of Gilderoy Lockhart. Lockhart was all talk and couldn't deliver. i liked the part where he had Snape doing the dueling demonstration with him, and where I half wanted Snape to stand up for himself, he showed that damn Lockhart who was boss with actions instead. He is pretty bad-ass. Although he did get a little bit silly at the end of Prisoner of Azkaban. I almost abandoned him there.
My other favourite character is Sir Cadogan, the knight from the painting. Why? Because he his marvelous. |

I like Snape and Nevil. Nevil is cool, used to be a wuss, but really got his act together in book 7
Snape is just cool since he has so many motives and faces while it appears that he only has one. The unexpected

Snape. No other options
(Why is "favorite" spelled wrong in the thread title?)
