Your choice for James Bond
Pierce Brosnan seem's to be stepping down from the role after the next film, and there are many names floating around as to who might replace him, not least among them Orlando Bloom...
Personally, I think Orlando's too girly looking to be Bond, and I feel the same way about Jude Law, who's also been rumoured for the part. For a long time Clive Owen seemed a dead cert, especially when, apparently, Pierce reccomended him to the producers and the producer of Goldeneye mentioned him favourably in an interview. After watching him in Croupier tonight I think he'd be perfect for the role. Like Sean Connery he actually looks like what I'd imagine a lady killer to be. Anyway, he'd be my choice. Who would you like to be the next Bond?

if its orlando then the bond series has gone to hell, a far out suggestion for me would maybe be johnny depp only because he can play basically any role. i could see him as a bond but barely. i would probably go with cilve owen as a for sure

i think the bond thing has been pretty lame for a while... i'd rather see them go the comic route these days, since that's basically what it is, though unintentionally, i think
how about will farrel?

Will Farrel...that would take Bond to the "beyond camp" level. (A far better choice than Colin Farrell....)

As for who should take over after Brosnan - I was thinking since Bond has been played by a Scotsman, an Australian, an Englishman, a Welshman and an Irishman - wouldn't it be fitting with an actor from, say New Zealand? I heard Russel Crowe might become the next Bond, and he's from NZ. He's a bit old though, a younger person like Colin Farrel would probably be better.

A Tarantino Bond film? Hmmm be really radical and give it to Merchant-Ivory. I could imagine the script:
"M": Jolly good to see you again Mr Bond! And how was India? JB: Quite agreeable. I gave your regards to the Choudhury's. "M": Splendid! Do they still have that little place in the hills? JB: Indeed. And they were marvellous hosts. Mrs Choudhury plays an excellent game of gin-rummy, I have to say. "M": Ah yes dear old Franny! And what of Mr Choudhury, how is he? JB: Ah...he's dead. "M": Dead? JB: Yes, I killed him. Turned out he was a double agent. "M": Oh what a dashed shame! Poor Franny must have been upset. JB: Well, indeed. It quite put her off her hand of whist at the time. Still, she rallied round and won the rubber in the end. "M": Ah that's the spirit! No sense letting things like these upset you. JB: Quite. More tea?

A Bond movie needs an actor with the necessary style to do the part. So I think Daniel Day-Lewis would do nicely, don't you?

Hugh could pull it off, I think...perhaps even do a decent job. But it'll never be the same anymore...lacks the feeling.

Funny you should mention Quentin Tarrantino, because Sean Connery said this a while ago:

I'd prefer someone along the lines of Timothy Dalton.

Hugh Jackman sounds the best to me sofar.
As for directors I have nothing against Quentin Tarantino but I wouldn't want to see Thurman as a Bond girl, at least not in the next film.
