all the lotr books have trivia threads so I thought narnia should have one the same rules as the other ones except you must present qustions from the chronicles of narnia
I'll start off with an easy one Who is the son of the emperor over the sea?

Hey, good idea for a thread!
The answer to your question would be Aslan, of course |

Not that reviving all these old threads will get us very far. Still... A for effort!

Mmm.. kay.
Gotta get in the Narnia mindset. What animal made the very first joke in Narnia?

I ought to know that - I know the animal's reaction to the laughter, and Aslan's answer to that reaction - but the animal???
For a guess - a jackdaw? (I was going to write a crow, but as I was about to write it, the word 'jackdaw' came to my mind ...)

Oh good - as I said, I ought to know that (Varnafindë was born in Narnia because her parents had stumbled through a portal, so she ought to know about Narnian history ).
The jackdaw asked whether it would always be remembered that he had made the first joke - and Aslan said that he had been the first joke. Next question! What did the owl who carried Jill to the Parliament of Owls, offer to catch for her?

Indeed! There's nothing as sustaining as a nice, plump little bat.

What were Uncle Andrew's rings made of?

I don't know whether it says what the rings themselves were made of - but the "active substance" in them, so to speak, was dust that had been salvaged from Atlantis before it fell.
So maybe they were made of that dust, too, not just containing it?

Well, dust in general is what I was looking for.

There used to be a lot more participants in the previous Narnia Trivia thread!
Come on folks, this needn't be a game just for Midge and myself! Am I asking too difficult questions, or aren't you reading the thread at all? *ahem* What was the entry just before 'Man' in the Giants' cookery book?

I think they're just not looking at the thread at all. I had a post sitting here for two or three months before you answered it.
... Mallard? I can't remember if there was another in between the two or if that was all. Sticks "rule" in the cookery book under "Rottweiler."

I blame the New Posts-feature - which, while being useful, also tends to make me ignore anything that isn't a new post.
Mallard, then Man, then Marshwiggle. Your turn.
