man and elf union
I recall something in the Sil were a character I BELIEVE gwindor says that the edain( I belive this was the word used it may have been man) unions are only rare and for great purposes.
There were Tour and Indril/ Beren and Tuor/ Aragorn and Arwen and Imrazor the Numenorean and Mithrellass The first 3 unions were with Men and Noldor I would assume that Mithrellas was sindar at most and probably Silvan Are there ANY references that there POSSIBLY could have been more between men and elves

No. There were only three significant unions between Men and Elves. (Beren and Luthien, Tuor and Idril, and Aragorn and Arwen.) Gwindor said what he said about Finduilas because she was in love with Turin. Turin did not return her love. However, this was a prediction that Finrod had made long before his death. He believed that the two were not meant to be together except for some high purpose of doom. He said this even before Beren and Luthien, who were the first couple.

Mithrellas was indeed a Wood-elf, by Gondorian reckoning not an Elda.

She would have to drink A LOT Ent Draught.
I'm 6'2'' ( 187cm) and hobbits are 2-4 feet I think that might cause some mating difficulties due structural size incapatibality. Here is a question I recall two different ideas one that hobbits merged into the larger human group and the that they secreted themselves away. Which one is correct?

I would say they merged into what humans are today is most likely the case. Don't you love the way Tolkien brings his world into the real world? Or is his world the real world and our world the fantasy? I think I've taken too much cold medicine.

Alas! Here is the dilemma in the prologue to LOTR its says
that they still exist but it seems they are still "littel folk" BUT I thought SOMEWHERE there was mention of them merging with us.

However pray tell why did you abandon my beautiful Dwarf quote from the Sil, instead bringing in NIETZSCHE?

Some realizations and personal stuff happened during Thailand and my first week back in the desert and I've been changing the quotes weekly now.
Just in a restless/relaxed state. I know that might sound odd but it is true.

Speaking to the original subject...
I was reading the lays of beleriand the other day, and MAN, was beren a lucky guy! I won't post any, because it's borderline not-for-kids, but WOW. I mean WOW. The way tolkein puts it, I thinkI'd better start looking for a single elf-maiden. Anyone know any?

Well...
I suppose I sorta overstated it... it's not so much literally adult marterial as it is by implication. But I'll send you a pm. When I get back online tomorrow, I don't have access to the book right now.

However, I think that with all of our destruction of habitat etc, I think that most of them have died out or merged with humans, but probably very small populations still exist in some areas, hiddenf rom human knowledge.
