Shoes!
I'm tired and bored, and have odd sleep induced thoughts, so I figured I'd start this thread.
SHOES! I love 'em! The funny thing is, the only shoes I actually feel 'graceful' and 'pretty' in are my beat up track shoes. They have stars on them that my friend drew. I have lots of high heels and stuff (hobbit like height, I am) but I don't feel nearly as nice in those as I do in my old tennis shoes. How about you?

Me, I prefer chunky boots.
The problem is, I do not own any chunky boots. I own sandals! Yes, a pair of Birkenstocks would be nice......... If I owned them And glorious hiking boots, freshly polished and shiny like new! I have those.^^ I firmly believe I am a Hobbit, being extremely short and furry-footed as I am. I have the characteristic curly hair too! Now what does all that have to do with shoes? -Eleruin who was Made in Uganda (don't ask; inside joke and you are on the outside) Last edited by Eleruin : 01-27-2002 at 02:44 AM. |

I have chunky boots, but they don't make you graceful. Rather a hindrance, yes? I like them though, because they boost my pitiful height. I could be a fairly tall dwarf, though I lack the beard. Ent draughts here I come!
I don't know, I think tennis shoes are the most graceful shoe there is. Hmm..especially with stars on them (points to screen name)

When I was very young and went to the mall with my mother I would always "lose" myself. But she would always know where to find me...in the shoe department.
I have 5 pairs of Doc Martens that I rotate depending on the mood I am in...each pair is a different color. In the summer I only wear Birks or Tevas. I have only two pairs of tennis shoes that I wear, both black....Converse low tops and Sambas. I have only one pair of dress shoes and I try to avoid them at all costs. Actually I do not like to wear shoes, so they are the last thing I put on before I walk out the door and the first thing I take off when I walk in the door. I do not like slippers or socks either and it doesn't matter how cold the floor is, I will not wear them. |

Ummm...shooooeeess..nope dont were'm (well, when I actually GO somewhere I do, but thats only because I HAVE to wear them) Spring: No shoes, Summer: No Shoes, Fall: No Shoes, Winter: Nope, none there either. California winters are actually not THAT cold. Oh but gawd do I ever get greif from the rents about it "put on some shoes, you'll step on something!" or "put on some shoes, its cold!"
Just leave me be, shoes are annoying.

If I'm wearing shoes they're beat up sneakers. Otherwise I'm barefoot. I have rather big feet, and so I look sort of like a hobbit.
Well, I would if I was a "foot" (bad joke) shorter, anyways . . .

I just got a pair of hiking boots. They're not really hiking boots, though. They're rather small and light. Those make me feel like an elf. I hate high heels. Other than that, I don't care what goes on my feet, as long as it fits. I really love going barefoot, too.

I like to go barefoot in the summer but I odn't have that luxury in the winter, living in the midwest. Well, actually, the high for today is 70, and we haven't had any snow. Mml...barefeet!
My least favorite shoes are spikes (for sports like track and soccer). In eight grade, I was running the 4 x 1 and a girl stepped on my with long spikes, which went right through MY spikes and into my foot. Ouch.

I don't wear tennies that often, mostly just with my black Nike pants. I only own one pair that fits me! I mostly wear Birkenstock type shoes - don't have the real thing, but who cares, they look the same! Extremely comftorble too. I feel left out now, all you peeps talking about how you're like hobbits! I guess I could be a tall version of Galadriel, but I 'm definitely not a hobbit. Oh well...

I wear an American size 16 shoe, so I generally only have one pair of casual shoes at a time... I have some New Balance boats, um, I mean, shoes right now.

Whooo! Size 16? Yikes!
I hate having really small feet though...hard to find shoes that I can fit into. What I really want are some really soft leather shoes, kind of like moccassins...Yessss....

16 and a half? Good God, how tall are you? I wear sixes (when I have to)!
Shoes suck!! I prefer barefoot in summer and wool socks in winter.

Shoes don't suck man You can wear shoes and look good in them no matter how much you weigh!
I love shoes. I love them love them love them. I like to go barefoot too, but I'm really clumsly, and I like to wear my shoe laces tied pretty tight, as if to keep my toes contained. Darn toes.

Shoes eh?
I prefer not to where shoes... but when I must, I have a pair of slip on earthshoes. Very comfortable, sort of like slippers with treads. If anyone is interested, I also wear mismatched socks. Blue with green, grey with white, striped with plain, long with short. I just can't stand having both my feet in the same kind of socks. Chew on that, psychologists.

I like socks too. Socks are nice...especially toe socks. I've never owned a pair though.

Or maybe your a Pragmatist who can't find the same socks often enough so you turned it into a statment. Or perhaps a rebellion against the older generation. Any of these sound right?
