Is it Rouge or Rogue?
This is to discuss Rouge, er Rogue, Elf's name.
I think that she meant to have it as Rouge Elf and just misspelt it and was unable to change it. (actually she told me this once)

Let's over-analyze this... perhaps her recent denial of the actual spelling as "Rouge" would hint toward recent emotional hardship or years of sleep deprevation.
After very little deliberation, I think that it may actually have something to do with the setup of the typical computer keyboard. Look: the motions from R to U to O makes a nice little line, while R to O to G to U creates a chaotic parallelogram. Obviously she made a tactical error in the choice of words for her name... let's check a thesaurus for synonyms, shall we? From www.webster.com: Synonyms VILLAIN, *bastard, blackguard, heel, knave, lowlife, miscreant, rascal, scoundrel, S.O.B., culprit, delinquent Synonyms SWINDLER, cheat, cheater, chiaus, defrauder, gyp, mountebank, sharper, skin, trickster Synonyms SCAMP, devil, enfant terrible, limb, mischief, rapscallion, rascal, scalawag, skeezicks, villain I like either skeezicks (because I've never heard of it) or delinquent. Delinquent Elf has a nice ring to it.

You know - I never looked at it that way Nibs. You might have shed some light on the origin of her name. Not to mention you bring up some interesting alternatives for the one she currently holds.

Dang! I made the thread lose it's focus... how dare I. We need more speculation! It's fun, trust me.
Perhaps it was a term of endearment from a loved one. Parents, possibly: "Get in here, you little rogue! You've thrown my wedding band behind the stove for the last time!!" It could also be an acronym of sorts... let's postulate: Readily Operating Grudgingly Under Extremities Repeatedly Osculating Greedily and Uncoordinatedly Enveigled Red Oxen Gesticulate Unbelievably Ecstatically Or perhaps it's short for something... rolling garage? Rowing maji? The possibilities are endful.

Did I say paralellogram? I meant quadrilateral. Very much so. But now I see that it is actually a triangle with two very acute angles and another very obtuse one.

The definitions of "rogue" that I use are: Vicious and solitary; operating outside normal controls; to be separated from the "herd" (as in the rest of the elves).
It also means "one who wanders", which is something I am very fond of doing So, to sum it up, I'm a solitary wandering elf who gets vicious if I feel someone has "attacked" me in any way. Or I could just be an elf that once had red hair |

Perhaps she a) is a bit of a rebel, b) likes the X-Men or c) made a typo at the wrong time. Or maybe she meant for her name to be that way. The world may never know. I kinda like it like it is.

I think that at one time she was a can-can elf dancer in Paris. she fell in love with a handsome English writer but then heeded the call to the Grey Havens.
"There was an elf. A very strange enchanted elf. They say she wandered very far, very far over Middle Earth. Then came the day. That magic day she passed our way. And we wrote of many things, fools and kings and this she said to we, The greatest thing in all the world is just to love and write to the.... Entmoot!!!" Random Obtuse Unicorns Gallop Equally Refry Oranges Until Golden, Eh?

I am myself very confused why does ROGUE Elf not take offense against all you guys! I don't know how it is in your countries, but at least in Lithuania, telling a woman that she is 'rouge' means telling that she is homosexual. As it is if you tell a man that he is 'lightblue', that means just the same.
So, Rogue elf, think of what dark intentions may come with these 'kind' words! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! :veryevil:
