Election 2000: Your views
Who do you think will win the nominations? the election? Who do you want to win? Personally, although I'm too young to vote :P, I hope Gore wins.

Re: Election 2000: Your views
What do I think? One word: Ugh! They`re all a bunch of idiots! They couldn`t give a darn about any of us 'little people'. Heck, Bradley seems to change his platform with every different state he`s campaigning in. What garbage! And the rest of them - whether they`re republican or democrat or whatever - are no better. I don`t think Forbes has what it takes to run the country. Just because a person has a lot of money doesn`t mean he would make a good President. There are too many idiots over the years that think just because they have money they could be President. Remember Ross Perot? It takes much more than just money status. And Keyes - I just don`t know enough about him. I doubt I will vote. I cannot vote for people whose ideals I don`t gel with. I don`t care for any of the candidates. To vote just to exercise my right to do so would be ludicrous!

Re: Election 2000: Your views
Hm, I haven't studied enough to be sure, but so far I've really liked what I've seen of Alan Keyes. This will be my first election, and I want to do my best to vote wisely.

Re: Election 2000: Your views
Alan Keyes? Bleh! From what I've seen of him, he's pro-Christian, strongly conservative, anti-abortion, etc. I'm too young to vote, but most of the candidates don't appeal to me at all. I suppose I wouldn't mind Al Gore as much as the others, but even so..... if I had to go with any currently running candidate I'd go with David McReynolds (leader of the Socialist Party). At least he agrees with most of my governmental views.

Yeah, why waste a vote on Keyes? I think I have about as much chance of securing the GOP nomination as him

So? I'm an idealist--I'll support the person I want even if they have absolutely no chance of winning. And you have very neatly listed some of my own political views, TOR.

Re: Election 2000: Your views
I really can't beleive anyone would vote for Gore. That would be getting rid of the Clinton administration just to get it back again. The guy doesn't even know what he thinks, he only thinks what the voters want him to think, or at least what he thinks he thinks (and that's a lot more thinking then what's in his head! ) I'd have to say McCain. The guy's honest, and that's something we haven't seen in a presidential candidate in years.

Re: Election 2000: Your views
No matter who cheats on who no one compares to Clinton. He's had so many affairs. In the Starr Report, he admitted to Monica Lewinsky that he had hundreds of other ones, but he cared so much more about the one he was having with Monica Lewinsky. If the wasn't bad enough, he lied under oath and recieved no punishment by lying even more. Aparently Gore learned well. He said he was always pro-choice, but before he said abortion was clearly a taking of human life. Also, afer New Hampshire, he said he won in every demographic category. But, really, more men voted for Gore. Also, he says that he believes in gun control, but a long time ago he named NRA'S Man of the Year. And, once he claimed that he invented the internet. I don't even know why he said that. Maybe he wanted to say that he invented a way of using the internet today and got cut off before he could finish. It was just stupid. Capt.Tarpools you mentioned Bradley was stupid. Do you even know what the main difference between Bradley and Gore is?

Re: Election 2000: Your views
He has no idea, he said that for no reason :P Bush is an idiot. He failed to name the leaders of four world "hot spots." Is this someone we want in charge of our nation's foreign policy? Apparently what Gore meant, was that he sponsored legislation in the Senate vital to the Internet's growth.

Re: SECOND AMENDMENT SISTERS
The right of owning a gun should be preserved. It is in our Bill of Rights. People seem to think that guns are the problems, but in truth, people are. In the US, millions of citizens possess guns. You probably know several people who own guns, but do they go out shooting and killing people? You probably would even trust them if they had a gum in their hands. However, if legislation is passed to make it difficult to obtain fire arms, the impact on gun related crimes would be negligible. The idiots who use guns to kill will still find other methods of getting guns to kill, while normal gun users will find it very hard get a gun.

Re: Election 2000: Your views
Wow, looks like McCain scored a double victory tonight. The funny thing is, less than half of the voters in the Michigan GOP (open) primary were Republican! LOL!

Re: Election 2000: Your views
Supposedly the democrats are trying to put McCain ahead of W cause they think he'll be less of an aponent for Gore (ick). However, I think they've just made a fatal error.
