The Official Languages Thread
yup, I know that all of you love to practise the other languages and show off with your abilities.
And I know that we shouldn't spoil other threads with it. So here it is: The Official Languages Thread! Post in any language you want to. There will be someone who is able to understand and correct it or even reply. Ah, I should begin. I am a native German speaker, so don't hesitate to ask me anything or to write something in German.

Oui, c'est une bonne idée. Ich brauche Übung Deutch zu sprechen. (God, that sentence seems weird.... ) Lalaith, do you still use the double-s sign in German?

yah, we have new writing rules but the still have not eliminated it. In some words it is still right. And yes, the sentence sounds a little weird, but I can't figure out what is wrong. Let me think. I would rather say: Ich brauche Übung im Deutsch Sprechen! Wow, you know how to use the capital letters. Quote:

Ek kan so 'n bietjie in my eie taal sê, maar ek twyfel of enige van julle dit sal verstaan (behalwe miskien die Nederlandse mense hier). Sjoe, waar moet ek begin?
Mooi bly almal, praat later weer. K

I saw the second and the third and thought the were not quite the topic I wanted to have. But why didn't the search engine find the first one? Really sorry. Das tut mir jetzt echt Leid!

Right. Since the other thread is so old, I'll leave this one open.

*looks at those sentences and wonders how much is wrong with them* Je peux lire en français meilleur que je peux écrire en français. Pardon my butchering of the French language, s'il vous plaît.
