Korea: let's see. They're bullies. They cheat (I'm sure of it... okay I might be wrong... let me have my delusion, okay?). They have boring footwork/maneuvers. They swarm onto the poor fool with the ball. And they have terrible aim. I'm sure there's more, but my main beef is from the Italy/Korea match where Totti got kicked off for no good reason - it should have been the Korean who got red carded. Damned freaking amateur refs! Empires are bad things .....and it was a British one not an English one.
You cant expect non anglos to support us , anyway who needs them, we will make enough noise tomorrow to spur the lads on to great things .....i try not to get too jingoistic , but its hard sometimes not to get carried away! I really hope we win , but more than that i hope we show the world what a good footballing team we are, are more importantly , if we lose, we lose with sportsmanship and dignity - please take note Italy , France and Argentina !

indeed beardo , my mind slipped to times past! oh glory days of yore where did you go ?
Totti got sent off for 2 yellow cards - the 2nd for diving ( a normal pastime for italian footballers),everyone was warned not to dive or they would pay the price ! anyway he has very dodgy hair ! swarming is a part of the game, though we prefer to call it 'closing down' , when its done by a number of players it is often referred to as a 'dogs of war' approach, as in the 1990's midfield of Everton ( Joe Parkinson and Barry Horne you still rock !) . five bucks ? whats that, like 5 deers or something ?

Hmm. Well I guess that puny guys would have to employ the "dogs of war" approach.
That ref was still out of line - I don't care what you say. Blasted moron. And dodgy hair or not, Totti was still easy on the eye. He can dive me any day of the week, baby. (Please do note the sarcasm.) As for "five bucks, mate", it was my pitiful attempt to be a patriotic kiwi plus pseudo colloquial rubbish. Signing off as the most immature mooter. And Goddess of Love, War, Feet, and Sheep. And Boxes.

I hope England beat Brazil and then get knocked out by Senegal or something, just so the country doesn't go too crazy - or maybe it's too late That's all anyone's talking about here. I want Germany to win! Just because I like Germany, and most England fans don't

As you can see, I don't hang out here muchly anymore. There's a good reason for this. Y'see, I've been hanging out at a different chatboard called Cardboardia. So far, I've been havin' a blast. Not that I don't love the TLA, but the magic of Entmoot is lost on me. So, as soon as TLA ends, so will my existance here, probably. Who knows though? I might stay. Highly unlikely however. This is a good bye in advance, then. Unless you want to join me and my group of friends at Cardboardia. Cheers! |

And what's wrong with bandwagon jumping exactly? Quit with the gender stereotypes CBG.

Now that that's out of the way... USA!!! USA!!! USA!!! I just might get up early in the morning to watch the game, even if it might turn into a massacre. I take it that the Germans are good. I don't watch or normally play football (soccer), but I've kind of gotten into it since the World Cup started. If the US loses, go England! God Save the Queen! and all that stuff.

me very sad now, the teachers that watched it with us were a little shocked by our enthusiasm, i think, especially of the first years when beckham, sheringham, and owen were on the tv. a few joined in with the cursing of the brazilians though

Yay Brazil!
And it looks like Germany is winning... please... please... please.... Why do the US fans chant that silly chant? U... S...A.... It sounds daft. Why does beckham wear a long sleeved shirt? Why is the US footie uniform see thru? Why do some of the players wear yellow bands? Why are the US team so bad tempered? How did they manage 4 yellow cards in practically as many minutes? Why am I typing bollocks? Go Germany!
